Editorial Policy

Purpose and scope

Our aim is to publish understandable cricket information that readers can verify. Coverage includes records, player statistics, tournament guides and explanations. Articles should add context rather than repeat numbers without stating what they measure.

Sources and verification

Official boards, tournament organisers, recognised scorecards and established statistical publishers are preferred for factual claims. Relevant sources are linked within articles. Where a source gives a historical ranking, that ranking is not assumed to remain current. Unconfirmed squads, injuries and schedules must not be described as confirmed.

Statistics and update dates

Record lists state their scope: for example, men’s ODIs, individual innings, one entry per player or all international formats. Ties are identified where relevant. Active-player statistics and standings are dated snapshots unless explicitly provided by a live service. Figures can change after the check date.

Analysis and predictions

Tactical discussion is an editorial assessment, not an official statement or a guarantee of an outcome. Potential selection options are distinguished from announced squads. Uncertainty is explained directly; unresolved research instructions should not appear as finished article content.

Corrections

Report a concern using the contact form, with the page URL and supporting evidence. A verified substantive error should be corrected in the article. Where necessary, an update note should explain a material change. Minor spelling and formatting corrections may be made without a separate note.

Independence and commercial material

The site does not speak for governing bodies, teams or players. Any future paid placement, sponsorship or affiliate relationship should be clearly disclosed where it affects the content. Commercial relationships must not be presented as independent evidence that a factual claim is correct.

Authorship and production

Bylines identify the account responsible for publication. Tools may assist research, drafting and formatting, but their output is not a substitute for checking factual claims and reading sources. Credentials or first-hand experiences must not be invented. Readers should judge articles by their evidence, clarity and handling of corrections.
